First time blogger, long time blog reader

It’s amazing to me how often I find myself reading blogs – reporters, public figures, mindless entertainers, etc. And I find it even more amazing that despite how often I do read said blogs, I have never participated. I tweet. I link. I facebook. I understand social media and the requirements to constantly, consistently update your network pages. However, I can’t promise that I will blog each and every day. I will try for now to post on a regular basis.

And, I can’t promise that my musings and posts will be of interest, or for that matter, be exciting. I know me. Worse yet, I know that the things I like to read and write about. And generally speaking, they are not of the utmost importance or relevance. But once again, I will try to keep from straying.

These are my goals.

And they now live in a world where every woman, man and child can see them. Simply “googling” Dan Corken, DannyC or Danny Corken, you can find each of my social networking sites. It’s a dangerous world, not for you, (I promise I’m a sane and safe person) but for me. I am throwing myself at the stake and worst yet, I recognize the consequences of not utilizing these tools to their fullest.

So, as I start this new adventure in the world of blogging, I will do my best to keep up. I will do my best to blog about things that pertain to me and my life, while keeping in mind that you; all two, maybe three of you, will be indulging in this new social media ride with me.
